AdorVita means to adore and love one’s life. The adoration of life is the defining theme running through all of AdorVita’s art. Having grown up in San Diego, on a large ranch, her imagination and creative spirit had room to run wild. Attentive and devoted to learning AdorVita draws on many influences including; politics, philosophy, music, culture, poetry, language and religion. Painting became a vital outlet of expression in 2009 when AdorVita manifested and joined with canvas. Selling, showing, and creating to public delight since while also making time for education, marriage, and motherhood.
Her one of a kind abstract pieces are created with brushes, tools, and body for the complete intimacy between artist and canvas. Parts of the body are also used symbolically. Biceps, shoulders can be used to show strength. The breasts and vulva to show fertility, femininity, sexuality. Hands and feet can be used to show creation or movement. AdorVita also uses acrylic as watercolor, and draws from her musicianship to include music notes, chord progressions and lyrics to “soundtrack” the pieces.
When she isn’t painting, writing poetry, or playing the piano, AdorVita is dedicated to her three beautiful children often inviting them into her studio and collaborating with them on living an artful life. She currently divides her time between Vienna and Los Angeles.
