To Live and Love in Vienna is a six-painting collection created during a period of profound personal and artistic transformation in AdorVita’s life. Made through her experience of living in Vienna, the works bring love, desire, grief, femininity, spirituality, and creative freedom into the same visual space. The city’s architecture merges with the bodily and womb-like forms that have long shaped her practice, allowing external and internal landscapes to continually meet.

Across the collection, connection, vulnerability, memory, and loss are transformed through abstraction, color, and gesture. Beginning with Womb and culminating in Reassertion of the Feminine, the paintings move toward an understanding of femininity capable of holding sensuality and self-possession, attachment and autonomy, vulnerability and strength. Vienna becomes more than a setting: it is part of the psychological and visual structure through which these experiences are transformed into form.

To Live and Love in Vienna captures a particular moment rather than offering a final philosophy. It considers transformation not as an erasure of what came before, but as a continuation through it: love can leave traces, loss can create form, and a life can be remade while remaining continuous with everything that came before.
